The LED lights developed by Rising Stars of Baltimore are both eco-friendly and durable. Our product is powered by solar energy panels that are located in a secure environment near each basketball court. During the day, the lights remain off while the solar panels absorb light from the sun. After dark, the lights turn on automatically and are powered wirelessly with the solar energy absorbed by the panels during the day. Although the lights will not be effective on cloudy days, Baltimore's climate is relatively sunny, with over 200 days of sun a year. Our lights are not only eco-friendly and durable, but are also independent from the city's electric grid making them more convenient to construct and economically viable whatever the location.
